In 1972 Remo Cangini, drawing on extensive experience gained as production manager for a leading company in the food services industry,
founded Casta di Cangini Remo, a company which he ran for more than 20 years.
In order to meet growing production demands, the company subsequently moved from Capocolle di Bertinoro to new premises in Pieve Acquedotto.
When Remo Cangini retired in 1993, he closed down the company. But this was only the beginning of a new phase in Casta's history.
That same year four former employees acquired the brand and re-founded "Casta", which began production in the same Pieve Acquedotto premises. The new company was able to count not only on the 20-year experience of two of its co-founders, Rino Monti and Paolo Sintucci, but also on the enthusiasm and innovative input of two younger co-founders, Loretta Carbonetti and Maurizio Casanova. During this second stage the company radically modernized its manufacturing processes and introduced new marketing strategies, changes which allowed Casta to achieve excellent results not only in terms of sales but also in terms of product quality.
CE certification for a series of its products followed in 1996.
These innovations enabled the company to achieve a leading position in both the domestic and international markets.
In 2001 an official ceremony marked the opening of the company's new facilities in Via Fratelli Lumiere in Forlì. The following year saw the launch of the Teppanyaki griddle, designed both for Japanese food and "lighter" dishes, a move which further contributed to the company's success. In 2005 the company became Casta s.r.l. and the original owners were joined by Paolo Valmorri, who brought with him extensive experience as a production manager. In 2005 Casta also acquired the brands, patents and designs for two world-renowned lines of stoves, further increasing its competitiveness in both the Italian and international markets. The rest is history: today, as in the past, Casta is synonymous with quality and reliability. A name to count on for all your professional cooking equipment. |
